Name: Georgia Lethbridge
Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Charity: RACS (Refugee Advice and Casework Service Australia Inc)
Fundraising: Run RACS Run
Amount Raised: $200
Reason for Fundraising: The reason that I'm running in the Blackmores Half Marathon on behalf of RACS is because I strongly believe in the work they're doing with asylum seekers and I thought it was a fun way I could help out a little.
Week 2 Winner - 18 July 2014
Name: Melanie Cliffe
Contact: email@example.com
Charity: National Breast Cancer Foundation

Reason for Fundraising: My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and she lives on the other side of the world in Germany. Running for the National Breast Cancer Foundation was a way I can make a difference to my mum whilst being so far away. It wasn’t until my mum with diagnosed that I realised how strong she was, so I’m running for her.

Name: Maiann Nguyen
Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Charity: Asthma Foundation NSW
Fundraising: Running For Asthma Foundation
Amount Raised: $210
Reason for Fundraising: The reason I chose the Asthma Foundation was because I suffered Asthma for as long as I can remember growing up as a child, and now that I'm older and in a position to give back to my community, I want to support the foundation for today's Asthma sufferers :)
Week 4 Winner - 1 August 2014
Name: Michael Streatfeild
Contact: email@example.com
Charity: Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF)
Fundraising: Godzilla Run
Amount Raised: $120
Reason for Fundraising: “Many people around me have been touched by cancer, not the least my father from lung cancer in 1988 and my mother who succumbed to bowel cancer in 2011. The Cancer Research Foundation was one of her favourite charities to whom she devoted some of her time, effort and money. I am entering the Blackmore's 9km Bridge Run in team "Run GODZILLA!" on the 21st September, 2014 so I want to make the effort more worthwhile. I have even more motivation with the recent news of my back-up mother, Norma Jackson and family friend Emmy Johnston being diagnosed with bowel cancer. Great advances in the fight against cancer have been made recently but there is still more work to be done”.
Week 5 Winner - 8 August 2014
Name: Gary Au-Yeung
Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Charity: Shake It Up Australia Foundation
Fundraising: Run For Dad
Amount Raised: $223
Reason for Fundraising: I'm taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2014 and hoping to raise much needed funds for the Shake It Up foundation to find a cure for Parkinson's disease. I write this as my father, who has suffered from the disease for over a decade, is entering the last stages of this horrible disease. So what little I can do, I will do.. and this year I will again be doing the half marathon for dad (and to prove that last year was no fluke!)
Week 6 Winner - 15 August 2014
Name: Greg Carruthers-Smith

Week 7 Winner - 22 August 2014
Name: Megan Thomas
Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Charity: Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect)
Fundraising: Megan Thomas
Amount Raised: $103
Reason for Fundraising: "My charity is Aspects and my children and I have supported them for 3 years now by doing the blackmores family fun run. I choose Aspects as they were our saviours for help, support and resources when my son was diagnosed with Autism in 2008. By supporting them I hope they are able to continue helping children and their families affected by Autism."
Week 8 Winner - 29 August 2014
Name: John Roberts
Charity: Breast Cancer Network Australia
Fundraising: Run Johnny Run
Amount Raised: $2124
Reason for Fundraising: "On Sunday the 21st of September I'm taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2014 which is a full marathon, 42km. I thought if I'm stupid enough to attempt to run this distance I should raise some money for a foundation that has some personal meaning to me. My beautiful mother Therese Roberts was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, she was operated on 3 times and went through a lengthy chemotherapy and radiation treatment. I can very proudly say my Mum is still here with us 10 years on, fighting fit and cancer free. Although the experience of cancer in the family came along with its many struggles, my mother fought extremely hard to be where she is today. I am very blessed to have experienced a success story with cancer; unfortunately some of my close friends and family have not been as fortunate as we have."

Week 11 Winner - 19 September 2014
Name: Ryan Morrison
Charity: HCU (Homocystinuria) Network Australia Inc.
Fundraising: Fundraising Page
Team Page: Fundraising Page
Amount Raised: $17 228 (as an individual)
Reason for Fundraising: “In 2013, after dealing with the emotional pain of our daughter being diagnosed with childhood cancer some years earlier, our eldest son was diagnosed with a progressive degenerative rare disease known as Homocystinuria (HCU). Some weeks later it was confirmed that our younger son was also affected by the disease but had not as yet started showing symptoms. As founders of the HCU Network Australia our passion is to facilitate a national network of HCU patients and parent carers to raise awareness, provide support and foremost to raise funds to further clinical research into better treatments and a cure for HCU.”
