The Blackmores Sydney Half Marathon is pleased to be hosting the 2014 Australian Half Marathon Championships in conjunction with Athletics Australia. Drawing together some of the best marathon runners in Australia, Championship contenders will vie for both the Individual and Team Australian Championship awards.
Australian Half Marathon Championship Rules and how to apply
All Australian States and Territories are eligible to send 6 male and 6 female representatives to contest the Australian Half Marathon Championship.
The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival will provide travel assistance of $150 for a maximum of three (3) male and three (3) female athletes from each State of Territory, together with one night's twin share accommodation to a maximum of four (4) male and four (4) female athletes.
Note: New South Wales athletes will not be eligible for assistance and accommodation packages unless they are from outside of the Sydney Metropolitan area. For further information contact Race Director, Wayne Larden by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org .
In order to qualify for the above assistance program, athletes must be currently registered with their State or Territory Athletic Association and be eligible to compete under the By Laws of Athletics Australia.
Additional Athletes selected to represent their State or Territory as part of the 6 person male or female teams will be provided with free race entry, an elite start and use of the elite athlete facilities.
