Can Too Training – Fitness Fighting Cancer

Sydney Running Festival Training Programs:

Can Too is a non-profit program that matches fitness incentives with a good cause. Since 2005 Can Too has trained more than 10,000 participants and raised over $14 million dollars for cancer research.
We provide twice-weekly group training sessions with professional coaches at locations across Sydney. Our 20 week Marathon, 14 week Half Marathon and 10 week 9km programs attract people of all fitness and experience. Some people are driven by health and fitness goals - to run their fastest time or to lose weight; others join to support cancer research, meet new friends or because they want professional coaching. Everyone is welcome!

We understand what it takes to be able to improve your running and take it to the next level. Our Run groups are not only an Interval training session but an education on running, carefully built and structured by Elite runner Vlad Shatrov and delivered professionally, period.
We hold our Run groups in an ever-increasing number of locations. Improve your running by joining one of our run-groups and start running training with us.
We know Running by yourself can be difficult, even those at the top of their chosen profession find that if they really want to improve and be challenged, a group environment is a huge advantage. Then add to this the expertise of structure and experience, and you create a dynamic training environment.

Sydney Striders Marathon Training Group
The Sydney-based Striders offer a hosted training program for the Blackmores Sydney Marathon. The Marathon Training Group, or MTG, run each Sunday as a group and follow a program designed for first-time marathoners.
Joining is easy – simply come along to the Sydney Striders Sunday “STaR” runs and let the host know that you would like to run with the MTG.

There is no fee to join the MTG, and you are welcome to come along and join us any time. We encourage regular MTG members to join the Sydney Striders running club.
From mid-June we will be running 20+ kms each Sunday at an easy pace. We always run as a group and draw on the wealth of Sydney Striders marathon experience as we go.
East Side Crew
Location: Bondi, Bronte and Coogee Beaches.
Description: East Side Crew offers a complete 10 week running + training program for the Sydney Running Festival. We offer a really fun and motivating training environment that will help you to build your running fitness and technique. We believe to be a complete runner you need to have strong legs, core and upper body, you need to be mentally strong and you need to know how to eat well. So we focus on all these aspects in our training program to give you the best chance of succeeding and staying injury free. Plus we raise money for a local charity the Black Dog Institute to help raise awareness of mental health issues – so you not only feel good from being fit, but also from helping others!
Sydney Harbour Runners
Sydney Harbour Runners are a CBD based running community. We run each week with a choice of two courses being between 8km and 12km, or a technique group focused on making better runners. Dedicated to making running fun and building a great community, Sydney Harbour Runners are focused on ensuring everyone runs to their potential in a team atmosphere. For the 2014 Sydney Running Festival we will be running our 17k course which will give runners the opportunity to train on more than 80% of the Half Marathon course - there's nothing like having inside knowledge come race day.
You can find Sydney Harbour Runners on Tuesday nights. A bag drop is available at Westfields Sydney, Urban Level opposite Sushi Connection and all runs start from St.James Station/Hyde Park at 6:05pm. For further information check the event pages on the Sydney Harbour Runners Facebook page.
Rejoov Runners Group
Rejoov Runners is a fun & friendly running group in Sydney's Centennial Park with training sessions Tuesday / Friday mornings 6.15am plus Sunday social long run. We cater for all ages, family members and beginners right through to experienced marathoners. The perfect size group with enough runners to push you along but not too big that you're tripping over each other. You'll often hear our group laughing and chatting our way around the park during the warm up. Everyone is welcome and we look forward to hearing from you.
RUNNING MUMS AUSTRALIA
Running Mums Australia is an Australia wide running movement for mums who love to run. Our aim is to encourage and empower you, as a mum and a runner in your running journey. The network has been created to share our achievements, come together at events and talk about running, fitness, diet and training tips from beginner runners right up to elite level. Elite PTSC Run Club, Cronulla NSW
Our running group caters for a broad cross-section of levels, including walkers - so EVERYONE is welcome. We have specialised programs for marathons, half marathons and events like Sutho to Surf, Bridge Run, SMH half marathon, and the running festivals at the Gold Coast, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne.
All runs start from Elite PTSC Personal Training Studio which is based at the Cronulla Sports Pavilion, 1 The Esplanade, right on South Cronulla Beach. We utilise the many great locations around Sutherland Shire for our runs.
Anyone running with the group can leave their keys, wallets etc with our Reception staff and are welcome to utilise the toilet, shower and pool facilities before or after the run (we open at 5am Tuesday/Thursday and 6am Saturday).

Saturdays, 7-8am - fartlek road/hills
We also prepare personalised programs for individual athletes for a variety of running events including marathons and triathlon (all distances).

Rachel's Runners is a social running group, who train in Milperra, South West Sydney. Come along and enjoy our fun, supportive environment with a wonderful running 'family'. Everyone is welcome.
7am Saturdays - Learn to Run
Teaching people how to go from no running to running 5km non-stop in 12 weeks.
8am Saturdays - Running Events training (tailored to the group)
12-15 week training program, weekly running tips and focus on various areas of running including sprints, endurance and tempo. We train for runs including City to Surf, Half Marathons and Marathons!
